Every quarter the devotees on a certain SRF devotee message board start talking about what's in the new issue of the magazine weeks before I receive my copy in the mail.  This time is no different.  I haven't even received my copy yet, and certain people who volunteer at the Encinitas and Hollywood temples have already been discussing their new issue for weeks. 			<description><![CDATA[ Once the layoffs happen, those laid off can go to the California Employment Board with the following problems.<br><br>1. For years, SRF paid by what a person could prove they needed to be paid to live, not what the job was worth, their performance was worth, or their training was worth.  Raises were handed out the same way.  Sorry bad ladies, that is against the law.<br><br>2. For years SRF failed to compensate employees for overtime. I had a friend who sent SRF details of how to start a 401K plan, which is simple to start.  It costs SRF almost nothing, but gives the employees some pre-tax benefits. 			<description><![CDATA[ People around here call the work location where many of the men work &quot;publications&quot;.  It is a facility about 2 miles from Mother Center.  Most men work there with a few monastics.  It has been a place of crazy pressure and wild stories.  A lot of people there have been hurt or discouraged, but since it is mostly members there is a lot of mutual support and long time friendships.
